About the event

Spring has arrived, and with it, the forest is bursting with edible and medicinal plants ready to be discovered. Join Cherianne Cybulskie, local community herbalist, forager, and outdoor educator, for an afternoon walk through Ferguson Forest in Kemptville, where you’ll learn to recognize and work with the wild foods growing all around you.

Whether you’re curious about foraging or looking to expand your knowledge of local plants, this walk offers a friendly, down-to-earth introduction to wild edibles.

During this walk, you’ll learn:

  • How to positively identify common wild edible plants

  • Tips for incorporating wild foods into everyday meals and wellness routines

  • The foundations of ethical harvesting and plant safety
