About the event
What to expect on the walk:
On this walk Certified Forest Bathing Guide, Cherianne Cybulskie, will lead you on an immersive experience in nature that invites you to unwind and reconnect with the wild world. This is not a hike or a workout, we stop and pause often. Throughout the walk, you'll experience sensory-based invitations, engaging with the forest through curiosity, sight, hearing, and touch. The guide periodically regroups, offering a relaxed space for sharing personal insights or stories from your explorations, with no pressure to speak if you prefer to enjoy the collective experience. The walk concludes with a forest tea prepared by a common plant local to the region, along with a light snack.
Whether you're wanting to try something new, seeking stress relief, navigating grief, or everything above, under and in between - this walk provides a gentle space for you to find solace in nature. Don't miss out on this incredible experience!
**Note on Terrain: This area is located on a slope which runs from the parking area to the lake. While efforts will be made to accommodate all participants, individuals with mobility issues may find certain parts of the walk challenging due to the slope. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns - I'm happy to share more details about the terrain of the park.
Spaces are limited. Maximum of 12 registrants. This walk requires a minimum of 4 people to run. A refund will be provided if the event is cancelled due to low numbers.
Refund Policy
- $5 of this event fee is a nonrefundable deposit.
- Notice given 3 days or more from the walk will receive a refund, minus the $5 admin fee.
- Cancellations made less than 3 days notice before the walk, will not receive a refund.
If the walk has to be cancelled due to inclement weather, a refund will be provided.
What You'll Need for the Walk:
- Water bottle
- Closed toe shoes or boots
- Appropriate clothing for the weather - forest bathing walks take place rain or shine! (hat and mitts for colder mornings, long pants, rain gear). Our walk is slow paced so it is important to wear a few layers of clothing so you are not cold/wet as this can make it harder to fully connect to the experience
- Something to sit on and get comfortable with such as a yoga mat and/or blanket. At times you may be invited to sit or lie on the ground (completely optional!)
Investment: I use a sliding scale for my forest bathing walks as a way to create more financial accessibility - as cost should not be a determining factor on if you can participate in an immersive nature experience.
- 1 spot available at $25.00 CAD
- 2 spots available at $30.00 CAD
- Unlimited spots available at $35.00 CAD
- Pay It Forward Walk $40.00-$50.00 CAD (Donating helps more people access forest bathing!)
Prefer to pay by E-Transfer? Submit your registration info here.
*Please be mindful that if you purchase a price at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the standard ticket price, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility.
What's Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing, originating in Japan in 1982 and known as Shinrin-yoku, has evolved into a vital aspect of preventative medicine in Japanese culture. Forest bathing is more than just a walk in the woods, it means immersing in the forest atmosphere and taking in the forest through all of our senses. It allows individuals to pause, take a breath, and reconnect with themselves, nature and their community. Learn more, here.
